Help us create a stronger voice of disabled people in Surrey. Join Surrey Coalition of Disabled People and become an active member of the disabled people’s movement in Surrey.

Disabled people and organisations of disabled people / people who use health and social care services have come together to create a new organisation. The Surrey Coalition will give us greater influence over the policies, plans and services available.

We want to work together to reduce the barriers which stop us using services and being full and equal members of our communities. We need disabled people to come forward and take a special interest in the 12 Basic Needs or Rights. We want people to become expert in their special interest and work within small teams to really make services more accessible, inclusive and better.

Disabled people volunteering for these roles need to commit to spending time to understand current policy and service provision; the specific concerns of disabled people and to be able to present these in an influential way to the leaders of local public authorities in Surrey. We will help you do this. Please complete the form and tick the appropriate box(es) to show which issue(s) you are most interested in and are willing to spend time on.

You can read some of our current Members’ stories here.
