Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is about using everyday conversations to help people make changes to improve their physical and mental wellbeing by signposting to local services. Rather than telling people what to do, Making Every Contact Count (MECC) is about recognising opportunities to talk to people about their wellbeing using the skills of asking and listening.
On 29 & 30 June 2023, Alex, our Lead Peer Researcher attended Making Every Contact Count (MECC)’s Train the Trainer workshops; delivered by Ashlee, Puja and Rebecca from Healthy Dialogues. Alex was joined by colleagues from Mary Francis Trust, Catalyst, Surrey Community Action and Surrey Country Council to learn about helping others to find solutions and create behaviour change plans.
