Yasmin Broome – Involvement Lead

Hello, my name is Yasmin! I am the Involvement Lead at The Coalition.

I joined Surrey Coalition of Disabled People in 2016, prior to that I worked very closely with The Coalition in my role at Surrey County Council.

My Team supports all the Disability Empowerment Network (DENS) and Special Interest group meetings. We also run The Coalition’s social programme, which provides our members with an online social activity every day. Our Team also coordinates Access All Areas visits to towns in Surrey to check accessibility. We regularly feed into consultations and engagement to ensure Disabled people’s voices are heard.

Outside of work, I am an avid football fan and have a season ticket for Crystal Palace. I also have an away season ticket and I’m currently challenging myself to attend every league game (both home and away) for the 22/23 season! When not travelling across the country for football I also love reading, history and spending time with family and friends!
