Surrey Vision Action Group

The Surrey Vision Action Group (SVAG) is a group of blind and visually impaired people from all over Surrey who meet quarterly online via Zoom or in Leatherhead. The group feeds into and disseminates issues relating to sight loss and dual sensory loss, receiving updates and input from Surrey County Council, Sight for Surrey and other county and national organisations such as Guide Dogs and RNIB. Specifically, the Group works with the County Council to co-produce commissioning strategies and to help implement them. For example, the group is currently co producing Surrey County Council’s Physical and Sensory Impairment Strategy which will drive services over the next five years.

Meeting dates for 2021 are as follows:

  • Thursday 22nd July 2021
  • Thursday 21st October 2021
