Surrey Vision Action Group

The Surrey Vision Action Group (SVAG) is formed of a core group of blind and visually impaired people from all over Surrey who meet bi-monthly at Park House, Leatherhead. The group feeds into and disseminates issues relating to sight loss and dual sensory loss, receiving updates and input from Surrey County Council, Sight for Surrey and other county and national organisations such as the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and the DWP. Specifically, the Group works with the County Council to co-design commissioning plans and to help implement them. For example, the group is currently working on setting up ICT and Braille training for people who are blind or visually impaired.

Meeting dates for 2018 are as follows:

  • Thursday 26th July
  • Thursday 25th October
