At Home Winter Wonderwheels

Our three At Home Winter Wonders have been busy with their mission! The At Home Winter Wonderwheels event is for those that cannot be at the in-person event. The challenge invites Disabled people from all over the world to take part in a virtual trip around the world; skiing in Norway, throwing snowballs in Japan and playing ice-hockey in Canada all whilst staying nice and warm at home! Participants can add up their miles in the way that suits them best and log the details online to help their team travel virtually around the world.

David M. chose to visit one of his favourite places with his Active Buddy David S. They went to Windsor Great Park and enjoyed a trip around the lake with David on his mobility scooter.

Pam completed 2 hours and 35 minutes on her exercise bike over 3 sessions. Her longest cycle was for an amazing 65 minutes in one go!

Jean has sensibly delayed the start of her challenge as she hasn’t been too well recently. There is still plenty of time for her to complete and we look forward to hearing an update from her soon!
