Carinder shares his experience of being a Coalition member

Wow, what an inspiring experience I had with the Surrey Coalition! I recently attended a meeting, and I left feeling absolutely brimming with confidence. It’s amazing what a supportive and encouraging environment can do.

One of the highlights of the meeting was meeting Yasmin, who is on the partnership board. It was brilliant to hear about the work being done within the Surrey Partnership Board – so much dedication and passion for making a real difference.

And then, meeting Nikki, the CEO of Surrey Coalition, was fantastic! Her commitment and vision for the organisation are truly inspiring. It’s clear that the Surrey Coalition is driven by a genuine desire to support and empower individuals.

I also had the opportunity to work with them on an easy-read format project. This is something I feel incredibly passionate about, as ensuring information is accessible to everyone is so important. It was rewarding to contribute to this and see the commitment of the Surrey Coalition to inclusivity.

Being a volunteer with them as a disability campaigner is something I deeply value. It’s empowering to be part of an organisation that actively works to create positive change and advocate for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities.

My interactions with everyone at the Surrey Coalition have been incredibly positive. They’ve instilled in me even more confidence in my own ability to contribute and make a difference. It’s wonderful to be part of such a dedicated and supportive community.

If you’re looking for an organisation that truly champions inclusivity and empowers individuals, I highly recommend checking out the Surrey Coalition. My experience with them has been nothing short of brilliant, and I’m excited to continue my journey as a volunteer and disability campaigner alongside them.
