Dorking Walking Festival

We were excited to take part in the very first Dorking Walking Festival!

The festival highlights the many scenic routes around Dorking town and showcased the local groups that already organise walks.

The aim was to promote walking/wheeling as a healthy, enjoyable activity, while helping more people discover Dorking and connect with the walking groups and other organisations already in place.

We ran an accessible walk on Monday 22nd September. We met at Burgundy and Black cafe, then passed through Meadowbank and then on to the high street and finished at St Martin’s church. Immy told us all about the history of Dorking at different points throughout the walk. The weather was very kind to us and we had a very sociable, enjoyable walk!

And we of course ended the walk with a cuppa at the café in true Coalition style! (As if you were ever in any doubt!)
