Susette shares her experience as a Tech Member

Susette met the Tech Angels team at a community event and found out about our digital literacy training, she was particularly interested in learning how to send emails and do an online food shop.

At home Susette had no Wifi or a landline and was reliant on old mobile phone. We loaned Susette a Lenovo tablet and Mifi device with a 6 months data SIM card inserted. She was paired with Tech Angel volunteer Rob and received six support sessions on using a tablet.

Susette really appreciated her visits with Rob and his instructions were always delivered in a way she found straightforward to follow. Susette can now independently use her tablet and it’s been especially useful for online food shopping.

Susette said “The help I got from Rob was fantastic. He is such a nice person. Rob would help me make notes and always used language I could understand. If I can do it anyone can. All my life I’ve struggled with stuff. Everyone at Tech Angels was so helpful. Rob was so reassuring”.

Thank you to Susette for sharing her story with us and to Rob for volunteering as a Tech Angel.
